Department of Life Science

The Department of Life Science established in the year 2019 under the direction of Prof. G R Naik follows a strong tradition of combining high-end technology with impactful biology. We are actively growing with recent hires having excellent research and/or teaching experience in interdisciplinary subjects from national and international premier institutes. We continue to leverage this integrative approach to yield break-through discoveries. The Department is establishing sophisticated research labs and advanced central instrumental facilities supported by Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA).
We offer a highly competitive two-year M.Sc. program in biological sciences and shortly on the verge of introducing PhD program in the next academic year. The students are encouraged to come up with their individual projects ideas with an aim to advance their knowledge, critical thinking and hands on training during the course of the program in addition to academic curriculum. This master’s program will provide a platform to learn and grow in the basic and applied areas of life sciences and motivates them for pursuing higher studies in the country or abroad.
